Skin Biopsy
In-office skin biopsies for accurate diagnosis of rashes, growths, and suspected skin cancers — quick, precise answers at our Leland, NC dermatology practice.

About Skin Biopsy
A skin biopsy removes a small sample of skin for microscopic examination, and it is how dermatology gets definitive answers — whether the question is an ambiguous rash, a changing mole, or a suspected skin cancer. At Intracoastal Dermatology, biopsies are performed in the office under local anesthetic in a matter of minutes, usually during the same visit the concern is found. Dr. Blair Harris selects the technique — shave, punch, or excisional — based on the suspected diagnosis and where the lesion sits.
