Multifrax fractional laser resurfacing treatment

About Laser Resurfacing with Multifrax

Multifrax delivers laser energy in microscopic columns, treating a fraction of the skin at each session while the untouched surrounding tissue speeds healing. The result is meaningful improvement in texture, fine lines, scarring, and sun damage without the prolonged recovery of full ablative resurfacing — our before-and-after gallery includes real Multifrax results from patients treated in our office. It is a strong fit for people who want visible change but cannot step away from work or life for a week.

  • Complete antiviral medication if history of cold sores
  • Arrive with clean skin, no makeup or products

Post-Treatment

  • Gentle cleansing with mild cleanser as directed
  • Avoid sun exposure and wear SPF 50+ daily for at least 2 weeks

Expected Results

Onset

Initial improvement visible within 1-2 weeks

Duration

Progressive improvement over 3-6 months as collagen continues to remodel

Maintenance

Series of 2-4 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart recommended for optimal results; annual maintenance treatments

Ongoing Care

Most patients experience redness and mild swelling for a few days after each session, and a series of treatments spaced weeks apart typically produces the best results. Improvement builds progressively as collagen remodels between sessions. We will recommend a treatment count and interval for your specific skin concerns at consultation.
