CO2RE fractional laser skin resurfacing treatment

About CO2RE Fractional Laser

CO2RE is the fractional CO2 laser platform we use at Intracoastal Dermatology for skin resurfacing. It delivers laser energy in a grid of micro-columns, removing damaged tissue and heating the deeper dermis to trigger new collagen and elastin production — while the untreated skin between columns speeds recovery. What sets CO2RE apart is control: the device can treat superficial, mid, and deep skin levels in the same session, letting us dial the treatment anywhere from a light refresh to deep wrinkle and scar revision.

Treatment Options

CO2RE is effective for a range of skin issues, including fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, sun damage, and overall skin texture.

Treatment Process

Starts with applying a topical numbing cream to minimize discomfort. The CO2RE laser is then moved across the treatment area in a grid-like pattern. Settings can be adjusted to target different skin concerns, from superficial blemishes to deeper wrinkles and scars.

Pre & Post Care

Pre-Treatment

  • Topical numbing cream is applied prior to treatment to minimize discomfort.

Post-Treatment

  • May experience redness, swelling, and a sensation similar to a mild sunburn.
  • Skin may appear dry and flaky as it heals.
  • These effects usually subside within a few days to a week.

Expected Results

Onset

Improved skin texture and tone typically noticed within a few weeks.

Duration

Optimal results become apparent over several months as collagen remodeling continues.

Maintenance

Multiple sessions might be recommended for best results.

Ongoing Care

Downtime scales with treatment depth — from a few days of redness and flaking at lighter settings to about a week of recovery for aggressive resurfacing. Collagen rebuilding continues for months, so results keep improving well after the skin has healed. Strict sun protection during healing is essential; we provide complete pre- and post-treatment instructions at consultation.
